Distribution colossus Ingram Micro has announced that Mark Chlebek has been promoted to executive director of the company’s pan-EMEA division, overseeing the purchasing and business management team for centralised EMEA vendors. Current lead Robert Beck, VP pan-Europe and purchasing Europe, is to leave Ingram Micro after more than 25 years.
Chlebek, who until recently served as senior director advanced solutions EMEA, brings his successful and extensive vendor experience to the role. Chlebek joined Ingram Micro in 1997 and has held diverse management functions in sales, marketing, vendor engagement as well as operations.
In this role, Chlebek will be part of the EMEA senior leadership team and report directly to EVP and global group president of EMEA, Mark Snider. Robert Beck will gradually withdraw from the day-to-day business.
“I’m excited to have Mark Chlebek coming into this strategic role. Mark brings with him years of EMEA-wide experience driving innovation and growth for our business. I am looking forward to working with him in his new capacity”, commented Snider.
“I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Robert Beck for his many years of service and dedication to Ingram Micro. I’d also like to thank him for volunteering to help with a smooth transition, ensuring Ingram Micro business will continue without interruption to our vendor and customer partners,” Snider added.
