Game, set and channel match for QLIPP
by Stuart Wilson, Sunday 19 February 2017
New smart tech products will take centre stage at this week’s DISTREE EMEA channel event in Monaco. Brands from around the world will hold pre-scheduled meetings with top distributors as they look to launch, build or manage routes-to-market across the region. Singapore-based QLIPP is hoping it will be game, set and channel match for its smart tennis dampener as it looks to recruit new channel partners.
QLIPP Plus records strokes and movements of the user during the match in real-time. It can be attached like a dampener on all types of tennis racquets. All stroke data like speed, spin and sweet spot are transferred to the QLIPP app on an Android or iOS smartphone by energy-saving Bluetooth LE technology.
The data can be stored, analysed and compared with the QLIPP community. The app also allows video analysis via the smartphone camera so the player can optimise his posture. The app releases new features like progress and calorie monitoring to get the most out of tennis sessions.
The user can start setting monthly goals and track his progress easily with the new health summary. QLIPP Plus also comes with a new shock-resistant rubber surface and an improved charging option of the string module. QLIPP Plus improves the game of tennis beginners and pros alike.
Primary channel expansion targets for QLIPP Plus are Germany, UK, Russia, France, Italy and Spain. Distributors and retailers can be focused on sports or on consumer electronics. Donny Soh, CEO at QLIPP is attending DISTREE EMEA 2017 and will look to identify suitable channel partners to work with in Europe.
