Reboon eyes international channels

Germany-based Reboon’s innovative tablet and smartphone covers will be showcased to distributors from across the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region at next month’s DISTREE EMEA channel event in Monaco. Buoyed by its channel success in Germany, Reboon is ready to kickstart its international channel expansion in 2017 and identify the distribution partners that can drive its growth in new markets.

Kirill Kazakov, director marketing and business development at Reboon, stated: “At DISTREE EMEA 2017 we want to meet new distributors and would like to create new partnerships. The core technology of our universal and multifunctional high quality tablet and smartphone covers is a vacuum pad we call ‘boon’. That boon holds the devices in the Reboon ‘booncovers’ and makes the covers truly universal.”

Booncover was launched 18 months ago and has become a popular product in the German market. Reboon’s newest product is Boonflip, a cover for smartphones, which made its debut in September 2016 and is already proving a popular product in the German retail channel

“We are now in the process of scaling our sales strategy to the export markets,” added Kazakov. “With only six sizes of Reboon smartphone covers we cover almost the whole smartphone market and with only eight sizes of Reboon tablet covers we cover more than 95% of all tablets available in the market.”

“This means that with little investment and little use of space in the point of sale the retailer has matching covers for almost every tablet and smartphone as well as e-book readers in his assortment,” explained Kazakov.

The Reboon brand is positioned in the premium price segment – slightly below the prices of Apple accessories. Reboon works hard to create a highly profitable product for channel partners and to grow together with them in the market.

“We are supporting our distributors with advertising materials and promotion activities. We arrange seminars and sales presentation training for employees. We also support sales with large marketing campaigns,” added Kazakov.

EMEA channel expansion is a top priority for Reboon in 2017. With more smartphones, tablets and e-book readers hitting the market, it is becoming harder for retailers to stock an assortment of covers for the increasing number of devices. Reboon products resolve this problem.

Distributors confirmed to attend DISTREE EMEA can pre-schedule one-on-one meetings with the Reboon team at this year’s event.
