Distributor Also has announced the Workplace-as-a-Service (WaaS) concept with its partner network across Europe. The unique concept is a one-stop solution for small and medium-sized businesses with IT needs: hardware, software, licenses, services, financing and support integrated into a single package. WaaS represents easily scalable, flexible, and simplified IT for SMBs, with a transparent monthly price on one invoice, all managed within the Also cloud marketplace.

Niko Peltoranta, head of consumptional business Europe at Also, said: “We want to provide a world-class experience and new business opportunities to our partner network. With WaaS, our partners are enabled to provide a secure and easily scalable solution to their customers. This allows them to focus on their customer relationships and core business – not on tedious back office tasks. All services are at the partner’s fingertips as an on-demand solution.”

WaaS offers the whole range of Also’s physical and digital warehouse catalogues, including support. The Also cloud marketplace provides the platform and automation, which essentially makes all of it possible; ordering, invoicing, as well as asset, life-cycle, and license management.

Marcus Rieck, managing director at Aluxo IT, a Heidelberg-based reseller, was one of the first partners in Germany to provide WaaS. He said: “Essentially, it doesn’t matter if my customer has one employee or fifty; WaaS offers the basic IT necessities in a scalable fashion at a predictable monthly cost, with zero initial investment. I am able to build a functioning, secure IT office environment from the service catalogue in minutes and then add my own expertise and value to the package.”

WaaS will be available in all 15 Also countries by the end of 2016, with the first deliveries having been made in Germany already, creating new opportunities for tens of thousands of partners. Finland, Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands and France will soon have the offering available.
