HP Inc. unveils new products in Middle East

by Stuart Wilson, Thursday 29 September 2016

HP Inc. has unveiled its newest range of printers, scanners, consumer and commercial PCs and mobile devices, and gaming products. HP’s newest range of products will be revealed at this year’s GITEX events in October 2016 in Dubai. Mathew Thomas, managing director, Middle East and Saudi Arabia, HP Inc., said: “Our vision at HP is to create technology that makes life better for everyone, everywhere.”

HP Inc. will launch a number of consumer printers, plus commercial printers and scanners. Stephane Rogier, head of print business unit, HP Inc. Middle East, commented: “With an entity solely dedicated to our printing division, we have been able to implement a greater focus on our printing products, with emphasis on agility and speed to quickly adapt to market and customer dynamic.”

HP Inc. will also whip the covers off a couple of large format printers. Ernest Azzam, regional business manager, large format printing, HP Inc. Middle East, said: “Our large format printer business is driving the industry’s analogue-to-digital transformation, enabling print providers to open new revenue streams and helping brands bring global, customised campaigns to consumers in new and more engaging ways.”

Over on the personal systems side, HP Inc. will launch a number of notebooks and mobile devices. Narayanan Venkataraman, head of personal systems category, Middle East and Saudi Arabia, at HP Inc, commented: “We are committed to delivering the industry’s broadest portfolio of products that offer the functions customers need without sacrificing the features they want, whether it’s for work, for the home or on the go.”

HP Inc. is also trying to carve out a reputation as a serious player in the gaming space with its OMEN range of gaming-focused laptops and desktops.

“The PC gaming segment continues to outgrow other PC categories, and the popularity of gaming products in this region continues to rise,“ said Venkataraman. “Earlier this year we introduced a unified gaming portfolio under the OMEN brand, which offers a range of options for both performance and enthusiast gamers. HP’s family of gaming products delivers the power, performance, graphics technology, thermal management and customisation to satisfy even the most demanding gamers.”
