by Stuart Wilson, Wednesday 18 May 2016

Fortinet, a specialist in high-performance cybersecurity solutions, recently concluded its first Middle East partner conference, which took place in Dubai.

Fortinet’s Middle East partner conference awards recognised the outstanding achievements drawn from the company’s distributors and resellers across the region.

Dynamic Systems was named partner of the year in Saudi Arabia with Gulf Business Machines picking up partner of the year for the rest of the Middle East region.

Alpha Data was named Gulf enterprise partner of the year with BMC awarded the accolade for Saudi Arabia enterprise partner of the year. Channel awards for growth were handed to Emircom, Zak Solutions, Bahwan IT and Intertec Systems.

Security Matterz picked up a service award from Fortinet with Paramount Computer Systems named SME partner of the year. Exclusive Networks and Redington Gulf received distributor awards from Fortinet. Other winners of Fortinet channel awards included Offtec, Triple C, DTS Solutions and Etisalat.

Alain Penel, regional VP Middle East at Fortinet, said: "Fortinet is in a leadership position across the Middle East, and this would not have been possible without the support of our partners, as well as our consistent and growing commitment to the region."

"As a company we have invested significantly in local resources and, from a global perspective, we’ve made big investments into our solutions, our channel, and our joint marketing efforts. We are extremely proud to have hosted our first Middle East partner conference this year - it allowed us to better engage with our partners, and set the stage for future mutual business success," he added.

New SMB Channels event

SMB Channels Middle East, organised by DISTREE Events, will launch in Dubai in 2017. The new two-day event will bring together 300 executives from the region’s leading resellers of IT solutions focused on serving small and medium businesses (SMBs). More than 60 vendors and value-added distributors (VADs) are set to showcase their solutions and services in the main exhibition area at SMB Channels Middle East.
