Proove to highlight smart home solutions

Swedish company Proove will showcase its full range of products and brands to distributors, retailers and e-tailers at next month’s DISTREE Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA). As the region’s largest independent channel product sourcing event for consumer technology, DISTREE EMEA gives all brands a powerful business development opportunity. The team from Proove will use the event to extend the channel reach of its Telldus smart home product range.

Alexander Ljungberg, sales and export manager at Proove, said: “We want to introduce our smart home range to all E/F standard markets in EMEA where we are not represented today. We also want to find resellers together with our distribution partners for the Holdit brand of accessories.”

“We are exhibiting Holdit’s bestselling wallet cases and accessories - mainly the mix and match family, slim flips and extra space or ladies purses. We will also showcase the new smart home starter kits, Z-wave gateway and magnet switch at our stand. We will also pitch the Sensative strips magnet switch during the 60 Seconds to Convince Awards programme,” he added.

Proove has seen considerable success for its smart home products through e-tailers. “Web shops are still the fastest developing channels for us for smart home products. The highlight for us is that a good presentation on the web has been more important than a top placement in retail stores so far,” he added.

The Holdit accessories business has grown rapidly the last three years for Proove, mainly through distribution and with new key accounts within electronics and fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) channels.

“The innovative and shopping-friendly packaging, together with assortment and coupled with a good price-performance ratio, has been a great success - primarily in FMCG and electronics specialists,” continued Ljungberg.

In the smart home space, Proove is keen for the channel to understand that these products have been successfully launched and established in Scandinavian markets for more than three years.

“We have already expanded availability to other markets during 2015. The system of devices is retrofit and the interface is open to several other suppliers of 433 and Z-Wave devices. We also offer a price position that is much affordable to the target customer segment,” explained Ljungberg.

In the smart home space, Proove wants to continue to grow outside Scandinavia with skilled distributors and resellers that have the ability and motivation to sell smart home solutions that are a mix between devices and software.

“Since the growing smart home category is ‘new’ and doesn’t replace other known products in a range, we consider the margins are quite good,” said Ljungberg. “We offer digital marketing materials including a film for publishing on web shops, or for showing on store TVs and advertising. We offer different display solutions with planograms. We’re interested in marketing activities that reach the target group and increases both sales and knowledge of our smart home solutions.”

Proove believes that the Telldus smart home range benefits from its easy to understand concept and starter kits that make it easy for consumers to start on the path to smart home solutions.

For its Holdit accessories business Proove is looking for partners that are ready for a non-complex business with low risk, decent revenues and growth potential.

“We offer tailored solutions for our partners and believe in good price with good revenue instead of complex bonus models,” explained Ljungberg. “We offer catalogues, brochures, a living webpage, shop-ready display solutions and three market-ready collections per year. We also believe that our partners know their markets and we are ready to support them when the benefits are clear.”
