TomTom set to expand Latin American channel reach

TomTom, a leader in navigation, traffic and map products, GPS sport watches and fleet management solutions, will follow a route to regional channel success at next week’s DISTREE Brazil & Latin America event in Sao Paulo. TomTom will join a wide array of international and local brands meeting senior executives and buyers from the region’s top retailers, e-tailers and distributors of consumer technology products.

Júlio Quintela, country sales and trade marketing manager for TomTom Brazil, said: “TomTom wants to build up its brand awareness at DISTREE Brazil & Latin America. It will also allow us to build up our network of channel contacts across Latin America.”

TomTom will showcase its automotive and sports products during the event as it looks to build channel reach for its products within the region. With a focus on navigation, action and camera monitoring backed up by strong technology innovation, TomTom believes it has products capable of generating significant consumer demand.

Quintela added: “TomTom is seeing strong growth as it opens up new channels with partners in the region. We are benefitting from the trend of technology products integrating with sports activities.”

“In Latin America, TomTom sees great growth potential in the consumer electronics channel in both Brazil and in Mexico,” he added.

TomTom focuses on channel development and marketing, freeing up its distributors to fully concentrate their efforts on sales. The company operates a structured partner programme in Latin America providing a range of benefits to channel partners.
