Jumia partners with Posta Kenya

by Stuart Wilson, Monday 22 June 2015

Online marketplace Jumia has partnered with Posta Kenya to allow its customers to pick up items they purchase on the website from post offices across the country. Parinaz Firozi managing director at Jumia Kenya, said: “We are delighted that our customers can now pick up items they order on Jumia from selected post offices across the country; this is a new direction in providing a stress-free, safe and convenient shopping experience.”

Dr. Enock Kinara, postmaster general and CEO at Posta Kenya, said: “We are happy to be part of this revolutionary shopping experience and assure all customers who come to pick Jumia shipments a quality service. They can also access other services that Posta Kenya offers.”

Jumia customers can select the option to pick up products from a post office closest to them during the online checkout process. The products will be dispatched to the selected post office and customers can pay for the items via cash through Postapay or Mpesa during pick up.

Jumia hopes to increase its customer base through the partnership, taking full advantage of the vast network of post offices countrywide.
