Ricoh eyes expansion in fast-growing African markets

Ricoh, a global technology company specialising in office imaging equipment, production print solutions, document management systems and IT services is participating at DISTREE Africa 2015, which runs from 10th to 12th June. The company is keen to expand its business in Africa and is looking to ramp up partnerships with established resellers in the region. As part of its international growth strategy Ricoh ITDC has expanded into Belarus and CIS region, Czech Republic, Slovakia, North Africa, as well as the Middle East and Gulf region in the last twelve months.

Matthew Clark, head of business development for Ricoh’s IT distribution channel, said: “Ricoh is the World Number one for A3 Copier Systems and using this technical expertise we have sought to develop our range of A4 print and multi-function printer (MFP) products targeting the SOHO and SME segments of the market. Ricoh is actively seeking channel partners to sell the Ricoh ITDC range in Africa and we feel that DISTREE Africa is the ideal forum to meet as many potential partners as possible to explain our exciting plans for Africa.”

During the event Ricoh will be showcasing flagship product innovations, including GelJet printers – a cost effective and eco-sensitive alternative to laser and inkjet printers for homes and offices. Ricoh will also display a range of laser printers and multi-function printers - both colour and monochrome devices.

Ricoh’s product portfolio is suitable for all market sectors and the company offers compelling partner programmes for resellers. It offers a strong alternative to some of the established consumer printer brands, allowing partners to achieve a more balanced portfolio. Ricoh delivers savings in four key areas: running costs, energy, space and time.

The Ricoh SP C250DN colour printer combines impressive performance in a single space-saving device, with wired and wireless network connectivity as standard. It also allows users to print from or scan to a smartphone or tablet. In the entry level printer and MFP segment, Ricoh has a broad product portfolio that includes a comprehensive range of products including A4 single function, A3 multi-function and production printing.

Ricoh’s reseller portal, which gives channel partners instant access to business critical information, tools, training, and support has been developed as part of the overall IT distribution channel strategy to establish a global community of Ricoh IT resellers. Further underlying Ricoh’s commitment to the channel, the company’s partner programmes are designed to reward partners for their contribution, help them capitalise on new opportunities, add value for their customers and drive growth and profitability with Ricoh.
