Aruba names new EMEA boss

by Stuart Wilson, Wednesday 28 May 2008

NASDAQ-quoted Aruba Networks has appointed Duncan Fisken as the new boss of its EMEA operations. Fisken has deep experience in telecoms infrastructure solutions, security and professional services. Aruba bills itself as a global leader in wireless LANs and secure mobility solutions.

"Unlocking sales opportunities within EMEA requires an executive manager with deep market experience and a finger on the pulse of local regions," said Dominic Orr, Aruba’s president and CEO.

"Mr. Fisken comes to Aruba with an impressive background in telecommunications, security, integration, and services. His direct and channel sales experience makes him especially well prepared for managing the different channels Aruba uses throughout the region," added Orr.

Fisken brings over 34 years of telecommunications and security experience to Aruba, having previously served at CA, Netegrity, Datacraft Asia, and Racal Electronics. He also served as an international trade development consultant for UK Trade & Investment, specialising in the security sector, and is a founder and director of the Security Innovation Technology Consortium (SITC).

SITC is a UK Government funded not-for-profit group that promotes collaboration and develops partnerships within the worldwide high technology security sector.

Aruba claims that its unified mobility networks securely deliver the enterprise network to users by integrating adaptive wireless LANs, identity-based security, application continuity services, and multi-vendor network management into a cohesive, high-performance system.
