Tropos unveils partner programme

Wireless IP broadband mesh networks outfit Tropos has whipped the covers off its new Troposphere partner network channel programme. The company unveiled the new programme at its first annual European channel summit. Tropos reckons that the new partner programme will allow it to expand its reach to customers worldwide.

Tropos plans to focus its worldwide sales entirely through Tropos channel partners and bringing them together with its solution partners under one umbrella programme to create a complete solution for enterprise customers.

“Our goal is to expand our channel reach and add select partners worldwide whose business is focused on selling best-of-breed wireless broadband products and services to municipal and industrial enterprises and to create new market opportunities for our partners,” said Tom Ayers, president and CEO at Tropos Networks.

“Since the beginning of the year, we’ve been experiencing substantial demand from customers both inside and outside of the US for a range of applications. As a result, we are hosting our first annual European partner summit here [in the UK] to emphasise our commitment to international markets.”

By combining the two previously separate channel streams for firstly value added resellers and distributors, and secondly solution partners, under one umbrella, Tropos claims that it is making it easier for all its partners to offer a complete solution to customers

For channel partners, the new programme is significant inasmuch as Tropos is now selling 100% through channels. Consequently, Tropos is expanding its recruitment of and programmes for distributors, VARs and system integrators around the world. This expands the market opportunity for Tropos’ partners to sell Tropos solutions along with their own value-add services such as consulting, installation, tuning, troubleshooting and ongoing support.

The Troposphere partner network is now tiered according to sales and technical expertise, with a focus on continuing to build partners’ success with the industry’s best products and solutions, supported by comprehensive sales, marketing, demonstration, training and certification programmes.
