Business software vendor Infor has promoted Jean Philippe Pommel to VP EMEA channels and alliances. In his new role, Pommel will assume revenue and management responsibility for Infor’s channel and alliances programme in EMEA. Pommel, previously global account manager at Infor, will report into Keith Deane, the vendor’s EMEA president.
"Many of our partners continue to build up their profits, which contributes to increase our business in the region," says Pommel. "Now, we have to take that momentum straight into building and expanding existing partner relationships within the European technology market in addition to seeking out new opportunities through channel sales."
Deane commented: "We are very pleased to have Jean Philippe Pommel at the forefront of our channel business in one of our strongest markets. In his career he has successfully managed both direct and indirect sales operations. He is a consistent achiever who will bring a certain business acumen that will strongly leverage our channels and alliances operations."
Pommel holds an engineering degree in computer and electronic sciences from the National Institute of Sciences of Lyons, France. Since joining Infor in 2004, Pommel has managed many of Infor’s largest industry and service clients within the global account team.
Pommel brings more than 25 years of industry experience from companies such as International Computers Limited and GSI Business Management. Pommel joined Infor from Baan, where he was managing director of France till the acquisition by SSA Global. Prior to that, he was managing director South Europe with Frontstep Systems.
