South African distributor Axiz is adding HP’s high-end multifunction printers to its portfolio. Axis, an authorised HP imaging and printing group (IPG) distributor, reckons that the sales potential for the new products in portfolio is strong as companies look to secure maximum returns from their IT investment.
Ravi Perumal, HP IPG product manager at Axiz, said: “Multifunctional printers provide organisations with a streamlined economical approach. We are very proud to be able to increase our offering of HP products by including multifunction printers into our portfolio, as this enables us to offer existing resellers new products as well as opportunities to grow our reseller base.”
“Unlike most consumer electronics, printers have a more sustained life cycle, making it vital to not only purchase a printer that meets your requirements, but to invest in a reputable brand such as HP, which has a research and development division producing cutting-edge technology,” concluded Perumal.
South African distribution outfit Pinnacle recently confirmed a deal to snap up Axiz for US$22.4m. Axiz operates an IT infrastructure distributor headquartered in Gauteng. The company represents a number of major vendors including Acer, HP, Intel, Lenovo and Samsung. Pinnacle plans to gradually merge the facilities, operations and systems of Axiz with its software distribution arm Workgroup.
