Version One signs VAR One

by Stuart Wilson, Thursday 1 May 2008

Document management outfit Version One has announced a partnership with UK-based Microsoft reseller VAR One. Version Once claims its latest channel move demonstrates its ongoing commitment to providing the Microsoft base with document management functionality. VAR One focuses on the Microsoft Dynamics suite and claims to be the UK’s fastest growing Microsoft value-added reseller.

Heath Williams, CEO at VAR One, said: “This partnership with Version One is great news for our customers. Version One’s solutions integrated into Microsoft Dynamics eliminates the printing, posting, photocopying and manual filing of documents, which are all costly and time-consuming processes. With Version One, businesses also significantly reduce paper waste and cut their carbon emissions, considerably improving their green practices.”

Lynne Munns, Version One’s general manager, added: “Our alliance with VAR One is key to our strategy of getting closer to Microsoft users. With the VAR One team providing the latest cutting-edge technologies and having over 40 years’ experience specialising in the Microsoft Dynamics Suite, we’re confident that this partnership will prove a great success, benefiting us, VAR One and Microsoft users alike.”

The new partnership provides VAR One’s Microsoft CRM users with Version One’s integrated document management and imaging software for the electronic creation, delivery, storage, management and authorisation of business documents.

In addition, Version One’s DbCapture system allows users to automatically capture data from incoming documents such as sales contracts, sales and service orders, reducing manual data entry by up to 80%, according to the vendor.

The two companies claim that by deploying Version One’s integrated systems, VAR One’s customers can expect a return on their investment (ROI) within just six months as well as reduced costs and improved process efficiencies. These systems also dramatically cut paper use across the business, supporting organisations’ environmental agendas.
