GDI reaches out to rugged resellers

by Stuart Wilson, Thursday 1 May 2008

General Dynamics Itronix (GDI) has launched its Aces channel programme to offer greater support for resellers of its rugged computing products and services. GDI has established a global network of resellers and distributors spanning Europe, the Middle East, North America and Latin America. Designed to help computer resellers increase revenues and market share in the rugged computing market, the Aces channel programme delivers an array of new elements to GDI business partners.

An enhanced deal registration program now offers volume incentive discounts and a significant investment has been made in a lead generation program to increase the number of qualified leads for its partner network.

The company’s warranty and service programs have been simplified, making them easier to understand and easier for partners to sell. Marketing support has also been expanded via a comprehensive marketing toolkit, a new and enhanced partner web portal and company store.

Robert Urben, business development manager for BlueStar, a leading distributor of mobility products, said "The GDI Aces channel programme provides us with the right resources to meet our customers’ needs for reliable, innovative rugged computing solutions. We look forward to continuing our distribution partnership and enhancing our collaboration with GDI, which will help us more effectively meet the growing demand for rugged mobile computing solutions."

The Aces programme is designed to provide comprehensive pre- and post-sales support for GDI rugged computing solutions. The programme benefits include lead referrals and sharing, strategic sales support, technical and sales training, dedicated channel sales manager and inside sales support, pricing discounts, deal registration, demo kit, technical and services support as well as marketing support.

"We recognise that our valued channel partners play a significant role in our company’s growth and long term success," said John Schneider, business unit director at GDI. "With the newly introduced Aces channel programme, we are committed to an even stronger relationship with our partners by offering greater support through an aggressive lead referrals program, discount incentives and comprehensive marketing tools. We view our partners as an extension of the GDI team and by giving them our full support we can all be more successful in driving best-in-class rugged computing products and services."

US-based GDI bills itself as a world-class developer of wireless, rugged computing solutions for mobile workers, offering a full range of field computing systems including laptops, ultra mobile notebook PCs and tablet PCs. GDI has facilities in England, France, Canada, and Taiwan. General Dynamics Itronix is a part of General Dynamics C4 Systems, a leading integrator of secure communication and information systems and technology.
