Crossbeam launches new channel programme

by Stuart Wilson, Thursday 27 March 2008

Security outfit Crossbeam Systems has launched a new partner programme to accelerate its worldwide channel reach and help develop new routes-to-market. Crossbeam reckons that there is growing global demand for its next-generation security platforms for high-performance networks.

Going live on April 1st 2008, the Crossbeam authorised partner programme (CAPP) aims to establish a strong foundation for strategic engagement with partners allowing them to sell the vendor’s next generation security platform - a highly scalable security platform that facilitates the consolidation, virtualisation and simplification of security services delivery.

“Our goal is to make it easier for security-focused solution providers to work with Crossbeam while creating ‘win-win’ partner relationships that benefit our customers," said Tom Gillman, director of channel sales for Crossbeam.

“The program will develop an elite community of strategic partners with whom we can provide best-in-class security solutions for our customers. We believe that CAPP enables our partners to profitably grow their business and increase customer satisfaction, all while delivering the world’s most effective next-generation security solutions,” Gillman added.

Crossbeam claims that the new programme offers a number of significant benefits to its partner community. The programme will use a two-tiered silver and gold model formalising the level of commitment and certification required from channel partners.

The programme will also give partners the opportunity to drive new revenue from value-added professional services. The new Crossbeam accredited service partner (CASP) certification is a shared support programme allowing partners to work alongside Crossbeam to deliver partner-branded maintenance and professional services to customers. An additional services accreditation (CASP-Pro) enables partners to participate in service delivery on behalf of Crossbeam.

“Our customers rely on us to navigate the complex security landscape to find industry-leading solutions that can solve the mission-critical problems they face, such as managing risk, complying with regulations and protecting their businesses,” said Gary Fish, founder and CEO at FishNet Security, a Crossbeam partner. “The Crossbeam Authorized Partner Program will make it even easier for us to work strategically with customers to address their concerns and deliver comprehensive security solutions based on Crossbeam’s best-of-breed security architecture.”

Additional CAPP benefits include joint marketing, discounting, sales tools and access to lead generation activities.
