Third annual DISTREE APAC gives technology brands access to region’s most influential channel partners

The 3rd annual DISTREE APAC created new channel business opportunities for participating consumer technology brands. In total, more than 250 delegates attended the three-day event. Thousands of pre-scheduled one-on-one meetings took place between delegates with vendors and distributors meeting the region’s leading channel partners, retailers and e-tailers of consumer technology products. Zyme adds Andrews to executive leadership team

Channel data management (CDM) outfit Zyme has announced that Nick Andrews has joined the company’s executive leadership team, following his promotion to general manager for EMEA & India. Andrews previously held positions at Gartner, IBM and most recently at Software AG where as a regional sales manager he successfully drove new business growth by over 120%. In his new role, Nick assumes immediate responsibility for all the pre-sales, sales and marketing functions, in addition to over-seeing the daily operations of the EMEA business. Read full story

Jacky’s revamps Dubai Mall outlet

UAE retailer Jacky’s has revamped its flagship retail outlet in Dubai Mall, claiming that it will offer a seamless shopping experience for customers. “Through this new concept, our flagship showroom at The Dubai Mall will allow customers to make the right decision when making a purchase, giving them better interaction and engagement,” explained Mahesh Chotrani, assistant VP at Jacky’s Electronics. DISTREE Diamond Awards take place in APAC region

DISTREE Events has launched a new series of exhibitor awards in 2015. The DISTREE Diamond Awards series continued in Singapore on Thursday October 8th, forming part of the 3rd annual DISTREE APAC channel event. The recipients of DISTREE Diamond Awards for vendors were determined using on-site live voting feedback from retailers and distributors participating at the event. Allocacoc, IRIS, LittleBigSound, MyKronoz, Panzerglass, PhotoFast, Playseat, Port Designs, and Toshiba all picked up vendor awards. Thailand dominated the channel awards with SIS picking up the distribution award and Jaymart named retailer of the year. Read full feature
