Positivo and BGH announce African joint venture

Brazil-based PC and device brand Positivo Informatica has announced an expansion of its international manufacturing joint venture with BGH Group. After success in Latin America, Positivo and BGH have now set their sights on opportunities in Africa. The two companies have signed an agreement with the government of Rwanda to produce and sell educational devices under the Positivo BGH brand in the national market. Read full story

Gadget rental service Toyology plans UK launch

A new consumer rental service for expensive technology gadgets and toys is planning to launch in the UK. Toyology will allow shoppers to try before they buy, giving consumers the opportunity to borrow drones, 3D printers and other expensive gadgets and toys. If the consumer then decides they wish to purchase an item they can. Toyology says that its customers will have the chance to ‘play a while, or play forever’. Read full story

Tech Data snaps up HTC RE rights in Europe

Tech Data Europe has been appointed as a European distributor for the new HTC RE camera. Tech Data Europe will supply major national and independent retailers and mobile network operators across Europe with HTC’s newest innovation in photography, which aims to allow users to step out from behind the viewfinder and capture high definition video and photos without anything getting in their way. Smart home demand hampered by poor consumer marketing
